Our client, a highly respected and well-established manufacturing business based in the Nottingham area, is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join their growing team. Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (plus overtime as required)

Permanent position
As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a skilled production team across multiple departments, including welding, fabrication, machining, and paint. You will play a central role in ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Supervise, train, and develop a team of production staff, including conducting performance reviews and managing attendance and timekeeping.
Coordinate daily production activities and schedules to ensure timely completion of work and adherence to targets.
Promote and enforce health and safety practices in line with company policy and legal requirements. Ensure all work meets quality control standards and specifications.
Quickly identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and disruption.
Monitor and analyse production performance data and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and output.
Work closely with planning, engineering, sales, and other departments to maintain smooth operations and consistent workflow.
Produce accurate and timely production reports for senior management, highlighting performance, KPIs, and areas for development.
Previous experience in a production supervisory or team leader role, ideally within a manufacturing or fabrication environment (e.g. welding, machining, fabrication, powdercoating).
Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills
Strong understanding of health & safety, production planning, and quality control.
Able to lead by example, motivate teams, and drive continuous improvement.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
IT literate with good reporting and analytical skills.
Industry experience is preferred but not essential – transferable leadership skills and the right attitude will also be considered.
Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available for this role.
